Personal Trainer/Fitness Specialist Internship
Timeframe:
Flexible: 2-6 hours per day, 1-5 days per week.
Summer/Spring/Fall/Winter semesters. Positions available year-round.

Job Description:
The Fitness Specialist intern will work with experienced Certified Personal Trainers doing the following:
• Perform complete fitness assessments
• Evaluate and interpret fitness assessment results to clients
• Prescribe exercise programs
• Assist with training individuals and small groups
• Assure proper technique and form of clients while exercising
• Help to lead group exercise programs
• Develop home exercise programs for individuals
• Research questions and concerns related to health, wellness, fitness,nutrition, sports specific conditioning for clients and trainers
• Help develop fitness/wellness incentive programs for clients
• Develop motivational programs
• Devise, organize, plan, implement and market special fitness programs
Ideal Candidate:
The ability to work enthusiastically and discreetly with both a fit and fitness-compromised population is essential. Desire to motivate and encourage
clients. Exercise Science major or related field and CPR certification preferred.
